Dr. Marco Romeo was born in Italy in the beautiful Island of Sicily, he completed his Medical training at University of Catania in 2005, with votation fo 110/110 cum laude.

He lately started his Surgical Training at the University of Messina and finished it in 2010 with the votation of 36/36 with laude.
Meanwhile, he became Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow and Glasgow Royal Infirmary in Scotland between 2008 and 2010. In this period, he learned microsurgery techniques, breast and head & neck reconstruction, focusing on facial nerve dinamic repair.

Once he became Plastic Surgery Specialist, he worked as Consultant at the Clinica Universitaria de Navarra, in Spain for two years, practicing breast and facial surgery.

Later, he served as Consultant at the Hospital Universitario of Guadalajara, Spain, which he left when he won the Facial Aesthetic and Reconstructive Fellowship issued by the Dutch Association of Facial Reconstructive Surgery.

During six months, he revised the most specialistic aspect of facial surgery, both aesthetic and reconstructive, rotating at the Erasmus MC Hospital in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and La Clinic Montreux, Switzerland. This experience made him a Specialist specifically in Facial Plastic Surgery.

Currently works in his offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Menorca.

How It Works?

Requirements

The fellow must be a plastic surgery Resident or specialist.

Duration

Six weeks. Shorter or longer stay must be approved before arrival.

Number of fellows accepted

No more than two fellows will be accepted simultaneously.

Economical aspects

The fellow must provide for his/her stay transportation.

Fees may apply for the rotation.

Compulsory medical insurance

We can offer special fares.

What we offer: the present

  • Our daily practice includes 3-4 surgical sessions per week, mainly rhinoplasties consultation, pre- and post-operative cares, clinical cases discussion, surgical procedures and non-surgical treatments with Dr. Melany Gracia Torre, our Aesthetic Medicine Specialist.
  • Moreover, the fellow will learn how to run a modern plastic surgery practice, including patients’ management, marketing strategies, teamwork and digital work.
  • Publication possibility will be considered.

Can't become a Fellowship? You may be interested in becoming our Observership

Observership is intended to give the chance to assist our surgical procedures for a short period between 1 to 5 days. Active participation to procedures is not granted, although Assistants will be involved into teaching and learning process. The activity is dedicated to specialist surgeons and residents.
